Hair & Makeup

Putting the veil on is the #1 item on the "How does this thing work?" list on a wedding day! Not many brides actually practice putting their veil on with their hairstyle. They may have done it once for Bridal portraits, but this is a skill that very few master. The help of all the bridesmaids and maybe both moms actually don't make this job any easier.

But before that veil goes on, you need to do your hair and makeup. Having onsite hair and makeup artists is not just a timesaver, it's a nerve-saver. They can do touchups after your veil and dress are on and sometimes they do hair and makeup for the moms and/or the whole Bridal Party. More than that, they give you a chance to relax. It's hard to do your hair and makeup with the pressure of the day and those stylists are usually worth every penny.

One more note on your veil:

Ladies, make sure YOU or someone YOU APPOINT knows how to put your veil securely in place. As a videographer, I can tell you that this is a high stress situation as you are on a time frame for making sure your ceremony starts on time. This is usually the last thing that happens, whether it's before the First Look, your Bridal Party shots or the actual ceremony. So if it takes 15 minutes to get it right, you are probably 15 minutes behind schedule.

There might me an instructional video here, soon.
